The post I found....quite...well...don't know what to call it....

Before you click the link I have included, please know that I mean no disrespect to others who disagree with wearing the head covering. I believe everyone of different beliefs should be respected.

This post to me just....astounded me. I know not everyone believes in the head coverings, but the way the poster wrote it seemed a bit...harsh? Perhaps disrespectful in the way the poster wrote it. Definitely a bit rude at the end.

StevenAndersonFamily-Why Ladies Should Not Wear Head Coverings

Spring's here!!! But....what modest attire can you wear to swim in??

Spring's here! Time for sunscreen, swimming pools, beaches....

Which may bring up a question for some modest-dressing females: What could I wear that's modest while swimming, but still doesn't make me sweat profusely?

First, I would suggest searching online for modest swimming attire. Everyone has different tastes, and I'm sure you'll at least find one thing you like.

But what do I wear for swimming?

Ah, I sometimes wear black leggings and a skirt that comes way above my knee. As I ( seem to ) keep growing ( taller ), my skirts get shorter. ( And the leggings cling to my skin, and I don't think that's exactly appropiate. )

I found a " dress " at Wal-Mart once. Not necessarily made to be a swim dress, but I've decided that since I like to wear longer dresses and skirts in public, I'm going to use it for swimming.

Lovely day

Spring has sprung!

And the pool's been set up, being filled up.

Awesome!

Just means I need to locate my modest swimming " dress ". Thought I put it somewhere.

What are you doing on this lovely day, or in this lovely month?

I'm Bacckkk!!! Non-Muslim Hijabs??

Anyway, sorry I haven't been on to blog, I've had some really bad allergy stuff going on. ( Thank Yahweh I still had some allergy medicene! )

I was thinking about hijabs.

Hijabs are the headscarfs worn by Muslim women, but some non-Muslim women don them to.

I like hijabs, they are modest and I like the feeling of a scarf wrapped on my head and around my neck a lot. The only problem I have?

As much as I lovveee hijabs, I don't want people to think I'm Muslim. ( Which, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that. ) Yet I want to portray the image that I am, a Christian head coverer.

What are y'alls thoughts on non-Muslim hijabis?

My Life

Honestly, my mind is drawing a blank. I can't think of what would make a good blog post! :/

Ok, maybe a life update.

I got the rough draft of my essay done.....Dad is on meds for his heart ( please pray for him. ).......April is my birthday, and I will be performing with my dance class at the Bloomin' Festival.....recital is May....Nationals in June....

Did I mention that next school year I will hopefully be a high-school home-schooler? :) I may take a placement test...... ( Though I doubt I'll be capable of doing 9th grade Math, maybe 7th or 8th. )

:)I have been meaning to make another video for my Youtube channel, but I have to be the only one in the house when that happens!

Just letting y'all know I haven't completely forgotten Youtube. ;)

Lately I have been thinking about the dance studio I attend and the immodest costumes we are to wear.

( Did I mention that we placed 1st in our catogory in tap? :) )

I think that I have been de-sensitized to the ICs until I came to wear feminine, modest clothing in my life away from dance. Wearing FMCs now, I am more aware of the immodesty to which we are subjected to.

It's amazing how we view things according to our beliefs. Some may not blink an eye at someone wearing a mini-skirt, but others certainly would!

•sighs•But I had fun at Jacksonville.

(Any advice on how to explain to my dance friends if they want to get into a conversation about dance after I no longer attend? How will I explain? )

Jacksonville FL-My Last Regional Competition

Well, competition's over. But we did awesome! Tap got first place, and we've had a rough history with that dance.

I can't believe this has been my last " regional " competition ( I live in GA but we've done Regionals here in FL. ) I can't believe we have to leave this nice hotel tomorrow, but I've been happy with the ways things have been going these past couple of days. A mini-vacation, Dad calls it.

I saw a covered woman today. :) And I've been seeing a lot of feminine, modest-dressing women too. I know that the town I'm live in is a lot smaller than Jacksonville, but I'm encouraged by the modesty and some head coverings.

Regional Competition-Jacksonville FL!!!!

I am so excited! We have been on the interstate for around a half hour now.

It is still difficult for me to believe this will be my last regional competition.

Will try and post later, I'm still figuring how to get my new phone to work blogging-wis :)e.
